IN connection with the 66th independence day , a
JRC unit was inaugurated in ST.John's H.S by the honorable president
of the Kodenchery panchayth , MR.ANTONY NEERVELIL. He stressed the
importance of creating a service mentality among the students.The JRC
will be an exemplary platform for rendering humanitarian service , he
said. Mrs. Annamma Baby , Manjuvayal ward member ,in her key-note
address appreciated the school authorities for such a brave step.In the
auspicious function which was presided over by the H M ,
Mrs.KP mercy, students took the oath of JRC.

AMBULANCE FOR FIVE PANCHAYTH
WITH a view to cater medical and palliative service to the people of Thiruvampady assembly constituency, Mr. Moinkutty MLA alloted five ambulances for five panchayath from the MLA fund . The flag off ceremony was held on the 66th independence day at Thiruvampady . The funcution was presided over by Mrs. Eliyamma George ,president of Thiruvampady panchayath. In his inaugural address Mr. Moinkutty MLA stressed the need of ambulance for panchayath pain and palliative care units.

THE UNION CABINET MINISTER OF OVERSEAS INDIAN AFFAIRS VISITED THE FLOOD AFFECTED AREAS.

Minister Mr. Vayalr Ravi,along with Kerala minister Mr. Kunjalikutty , visited the
flood affected areas of Pullurampara. ‘It is indeed a shocking sight’, Ravi
remarked after observing the horrifying scene at Pullurampara . On his way to Pullurampara
he visited the flood affected people in the camp at Manjuvayal Vimala UP
School, Nellipoil.He found time to talk to the suffering people .. Both
ministers promised all the help of the Central and the State Government

OOMMANCHANDY COMES AS A SOOTHING BALM
Chief Minister of Kerala, Mr. Oommanchandy , visited the
flood affected areas of Thiruvampady constituency this evening. Hundreds of
people gathered to express their sorrows and remorse.

PULLURAMPARA who were tragically affected. Many people burst into tears as they

Flood in Pullurampara
Pullurampara
was indeed shocked to know about the terrific and cataclysmic
landslides occurred around its vicinities. Pullurampara became debris
of this catastrophe. There were 16 landslides which took 8 innocent
lives. 40 houses completely damaged and 60 houses partially damaged.
Anakkampoil road in Mavumchode washed off in the flood.
